ORIX Foundation is committed to advancing education,
strengthening communities and improving lives. We want children and families to succeed – in school, in the workforce and in life.

Our Charitable Giving Program is dedicated to advancing education, strengthening communities and improving lives. Through its philanthropic initiatives and partnerships, ORIX supports projects that create opportunities, make connections and address community needs where we do business. Supporting families has been a major focus for ORIX, and child welfare is our key element. We are driven to help children succeed — in school, in the workforce and in life. ORIX proudly partners with organizations that share our values and are dedicated to providing opportunity through education and community development.
Since 2006, ORIX Foundation has given thousands of dollars to partner charities, like Dallas CASA, Wilkinson Center, New Beginning Center and Vogel Alcove, to help them achieve their missions. Donations can take different forms – we have sponsored specific fundraising events, donated to the general funds of a charity, donated with a directive to apply the funds to certain programs fitting best with our mission statement, and donated goods in kind. Many of ORIX Foundation’s donations originate from an ORIX USA employee’s involvement in a charity, while many donations result in both short- and long-term volunteerism by our employees. In connection with our donations and event sponsorships, ORIX USA employees have donated countless hours of time supporting partner charities.
ORIX seeks charities that promote the health, welfare and education of children, families, military personnel and veterans. Our partner charities provide basic needs to people in our communities, such as food, shelter, education and medical attention. We favor organizations with principle locations and delivery of service in the greater Dallas area and other geographic areas where ORIX USA employees live and work. A partner charity must demonstrate a current need for funds and historically prudent management of funds and programs. The charity should demonstrate that its general and administrative expenses are comparable to or less than those of similar charities. We like to consider the impact of the funds – both the number of individuals benefiting from the funds as well as the manner and extent to which they will benefit. ORIX prefers developing charities with modest fundraising capabilities, and underfunded charities, where our dollars can make a difference. ORIX follows up with partner charities, expecting them to report how funds are spent and how services have been provided. We do not give to political organizations or sectarian organizations whose services are limited to one religious group. All recipients must qualify as non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations.
