Captain Hope’s Kids

In 2010, the lives of over 41,000 homeless children were improved, thanks to the efforts of Captain Hope’s Kids. Working with 40 homeless services partners, Captain Hope’s Kids distributed over half a million life-essential items, such as clothing, school supplies, diapers and hygiene needs, to homeless children and infants across North Texas. www.captainhope.org

Dallas CASA

Dallas CASA is a private nonprofit organization that speaks up, through trained volunteers, for abused and neglected children in the court system. Their mission is to guide these children into safe environments where they can love, be loved, laugh and learn. www.dallascasa.org

Interfaith Housing Coalition

Interfaith Housing Coalition - Interfaith Housing Coalition was founded in 1985 to provide transitional housing and support services to homeless families. Initially designed to help families in situational homelessness stabilize and move forward within 90 days, Interfaith Housing has evolved to provide a holistic approach to address the root issues of generational poverty and family homelessness. www.interfaithhousingcoalition.org

Mi Escuelita

Mi Escuelita Preschool is a nationally accredited early childhood program that teaches English to children from all cultures and prepares them for academic success. www.miescuelita.org

New Beginning Center

The mission of New Beginning Center is to foster an environment of safety, support and respect for families affected by domestic violence. We do so through crisis intervention, counseling, shelter, education, advocacy, and diverse community partnerships. The vision of New Beginning Center is to promote social change that will lead to the elimination of domestic violence. www.newbeginningcenter.org

North Texas Food Bank

The North Texas Food Bank passionately pursues a hunger-free community by distributing donated, purchased and prepared foods to children, families and seniors in need. Each month, agency pantries distribute food to more than 50,000 families, and on-site meal programs serve 435,000 meals and snacks. Every dollar donated provides four meals. www.ntfb.org

Patriot Paws

Patriot PAWS trains and provides service dogs for the benefit of disabled American Veterans in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence, and to provide a service for other American’s with mobile disabilities. www.patriotpaws.org

The Rotary Club of Dallas’ Dream Team Mentoring and Scholarship Program

Rotarian Mentors called the “Dream Team” give their resources of time and compassion to mentor students in the Dallas area. Others, like ORIX Foundation, participate in the goals and success of the Dream Team through financial donations. The Stewpot

The Stewpot provides resources for basic survival as well as opportunities to start a new life - including Daily Meals, Casework Assistance, Dental and Medical Care, Children & - Youth programs, the Streetzine homeless newspaper and a unique Open Art Studio program for the homeless – fostering inclusiveness and building community in everything we do. www.thestewpot.org

The USO

The USO fulfills its mission of lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families, by providing an extensive range of programs at more than 150 centers in 27 countries, and at hundreds of entertainment events each year. Thousands of USO volunteers do everything possible to provide a home away from home for our troops and to keep them connected to the families they left behind. www.uso.org

Vogel Alcove

Since 1987, the Vogel Alcove has been providing free quality child development services to the Dallas area’s youngest victims of poverty: homeless children from six weeks to six years old. www.vogelalcove.org

Wesley-Rankin Center

The Wesley-Rankin Community Center provides educational, counseling referral, after-school programming, tutoring, college scholarships, youth and family support services to the people of West Dallas. www.wesleyrankin.org

The Wilkinson Center
